July 28, 2007 my son Tyler and I went down to the Luxor in Las Vegas for the opportunity to meet Criss Angel. Both of us are big fans, we love his show Mindfreak and..
watch it every week! Needless to say we were very excited. The meet and greet was scheduled to be from 4pm - 7pm. We got there early (12 noon) so that we would not miss out on the chance to see him so we actually had to wait 7 1/2 hours. Criss came into the store at 5pm and we finally made it up to see him at 7:30pm. We really didn't mind....it was all well worth the wait. During our wait, I had Tyler hold our place in line while I bought us McDonald's for lunch. I also was able to do some shopping in the official Mindfreak store and spent way too much money on souveniers for Tyler!!
Can you beleive the turnout was so huge that the line went all the way from the Mindfreak store, out of the Luxor Galleria....throught the casino and all the way accross the walkway to the Excalibur casino!! Security eventually closed off the line at about 4pm.
Criss looked just like I had expected...very tall and sexy as hell ;) He is extremely nice, very soft spoken and was absolutely very personable and great with all of the kids!! He is obviously a very gracious man....the hotel personnel said that he is such a great guy that he would stay until every last autograph was signed! He no doubt was there until the wee hours of the morning!!
I know you will never see this....but thank you Criss Angel, it was a great honor to meet you!!
